This listing is for the bench grinder as shown. Runs great, sounds great, looks pretty good too, especially considering it's probably 60+ years old.
There are the normal scratches and paint wear you would expect from a used unit. Rated at 1/4hp, this is the early style Craftsman that uses a full cast iron construction on the body and the guards. Heck, it weighs 40 pounds as you see it, compared to the later Craftsman grinders that are aluminum bodied at almost have that weight and those grinders are excellent grinders also, just a different type construction. These early grinders did not have provision for a water tray or a light, so they are fairly basic, although they do have the better eye shields with metal frames and glass instead of just plastic. The interesting thing is there is no provision for end covers on these early versions, they certainly couldn't sell anything like that today, wouldn't be safe enough for the legal dept. The bottom used captured rubber feet instead of the slide on style the later ones used, which always get lost. The only thing that should be addressed is the power cord. It still works fine but it is pretty age cracked. B e sure to check out all the pics and enlarge them for more detail. Thank you for your consideration.
