I have no idea how long it has been in storage, everything was very well packed away, but no indication as to why it finished up in the workshop. To my amazement it powered straight up (albeit no hard drive installed) So I hunted around in another box of bits and discovered an IDE Quantum hard drive, only 10 gig but I had to try it, it booted eventually into Windows ME!!! After many attempted starts and " found new hardware" restarts it booted to a stable running operating system I went on the HP website and to my surprise the driver database for this machine is still available. Windows ME was not originally available on this machine, but it works so I have left it on, there is an ME disk with license number that will come with the PC.
I tried to photograph the inside of the fans, they are spotless, the motherboard is spotless it's unbelievable. The original HP PS2 keyboard and mouse set are immaculate, no wear whatsoever The original HP 1502 monitor is immaculate, not a mark on it.
Everything is a true collectors item. The only thing that lets it down is the hard drive, it's noisier in operation than the cooling fans!! But, the board has SATA ports and the power supply has SATA connectors so you could easily add an up to date hard drive It's a Pentium 4 chip 256mb ram Cd writer Floppy drive Everything very much of the period As I said only a 10 gig hard drive, but it loads up really fast and you can navigate round the operating system as fast as any modern machine. I believe this one to be one of the best available, considering it's a complete original set.
Please be aware this is COLLECTION IN PERSON please.
