HP 61 F RC GOLD CUP engine, late 1970's version for vintage FAI aerobatic models
HP 61 F RC GOLD CUP engine in it's box. This is the revised 1979 HP 61 F Gold Cup, the most powerful and last true Austrian made version of the classic Gold Cup 10cc series engine, featuring a stronger crankshaft, new design ABC piston and liner with revised Schnurle porting and a new design carb incorporating an increased choke area that is able to give over 2 bhp on a tuned pipe set up or 1.6 bhp on a standard exhaust setup. This engine has smooth bearings and superb compression. I think this engine has been test run at most, and has then been mounted for display in a cabinet for many decade's. It's in beautiful condition. This engine is perfect for that retro FAI vintage aerobatic model dating back to the 1970's era or perfect for a vintage sports model. These HP engine's come from a line of 10cc engine's made by HP that started out with the late Paul Bugl designed HP 61 Schnurle ported 1967 10cc engine, the very first production engine with Schnurle porting and the most powerful production 10cc engine of the day. Please study the picture's as they form part of the engine's description and condition.
